Hi Lovelies,

So, this past weekend I celebrated my 25th birthday. It made me reminisce about my journey of self-love and self-acceptance and how far I’ve come. Getting older really does put things into perspective and with the days passing by, you realize how lucky you are to have what you have. Positivity has enriched my life, and keeping this positive outlook on life is making my life richer and more meaningful.

Confidence is something I’ve always struggled with and I can trace the beginning of my self-love journey to my days working at a plus-size clothing store in New York City. I was going to college and working there part-time. I looked around me and there were these confident plus size women who quite frankly didn’t care what people thought of them. Being surrounded by these gorgeous confident, well-dressed, women really impacted me because seeing how they carried themselves inspired me to really let my personal style shine through. I gained my confidence partly through them because I was in an environment where we could embrace our bodies. Being a sales associate wasn’t the greatest job in the world, but what made it worth it was helping women choose clothes that made them feel good. Now, I hope that even if it’s one person I help realize how beautiful they are, that’ll be fabulous. I’m set on living my life as an example of someone who embraces the body they have just as those women did.

For my b-day party, I chose a hairstyle I’ve been dying to try and I completely fell in love with it. I’m wondering if I can get away with wearing it work. haha For my outfit I chose a Michal Kors polka-dot blouse, Macy’s INC red pants and my fave pair of kitten heel shoes from Torrid. Here are some pics:

Hi Loves! I’m sorry for the lapse in posting. It’s been a little hectic! I have some things coming soon, so stay tuned. :) For this week’s ‘throw back”, I’m posting the leopard obsession piece. You can never have too much leopard in your life. haha

Roar!

Hi Lovelies,

If you’ve been hitting the racks on-line and in-stores, you’ve probably noticed all the animals on the prowl. No, I’m not talking about that girl trying to steal your man or that guy making glances at your woman (for my guy readers) lol I’m talking about the leopard, zebra, and cheetah printed apparel fully stocked in stores. I’ve always loved leopard prints, and of course succumbed to my inner animal and bought myself some goodies. Bags, dresses, tops, even skinny jeans all made their way to my leopard printed heart. Without further ado here are some of the items I fell in love with:

This dress definitely is a head turner and must be worn with confidence I went up a size in this dress; it already fits very snug and I’m all about not giving random people on the street a sneak peek of the goodies. lol I experienced an occasional “pulling down of the dress” with this one. Get the right size and some good shapewear, and you’re good to go! You can find it here.

Speaking of shapewear, Torrid’s high waist shaping panty is a definite must buy. Its versatility in satisfying your crave for style, meeting your comfort requirements, and doing what it says it does – shapes, makes it my favorite everyday shaping panty.

Yep, I just posted a pic of my underwear on the internet. Oh, man.

This next outfit is one of my faves. Perfect to wear to work, or change it up a bit for a night on the town. Peep toe shoes are from Torrid, leopard print skirt is from Macy’s, and the blouse and belt are from Forever 21.

More wild looks to come!

Hi Everyone!

I’m writing about my latest obsession – floral printed pants or jeans. I’ve always been the one to wear leopard jeans or a cool funky pattern, but I’m absolutely loving floral print! I especially love how it makes a statement. It’s fearless in a way.

Style & Co. available at Macy’s

I know there are many plus size women that shy away from rocking any printed clothing, but definitely at least give it a try.  You might like them. ;)

xo,

Christina

Black Dress, Ditans, and Some Flower Power

Hi lovelies! I recently went to a Sweet 16, which was fabulous and thought I’d post what I wore.

I finally got to wear my Ditans

This dress is from GreatGlam.com and can be found here. It’s simple, but with the right accessories you can dress it up nicely for any occasion. I chose to wear it with a different belt to go with my bag and shoes. I chose the Rosette Stretch Belt in taupe. They no longer have the color I wore, but they now have it in black. Like many of their styles, this dress hugs the body and is form fitting and sexy. You can’t see it from the picture or the one on the site, but one thing that I wouldn’t have preferred was that it was cut a bit lower on the side near where your bra is making it a bit visible. I didn’t mind too much because the way the dress was cut you couldn’t really tell.
